With all the snow the East Coast has been bombarded with, I’m pretty certain its understandable that I have been envisioning traveling to some exotic & WARM location fit for a goddess! Lo and behold; I found just that in the luxurious Banyan Tree Mayakoba, in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, Mexico.

Being the first Banyan Tree property located outside of Asia, The Mayakoba has some pretty high standards to upkeep; it doesn’t disappoint!

The Mayakoba is PRICEY, but look at it, I think its more than worth it!

If you’re anything like me you have been anticipating the return of The Game for quite a while. Living on old re-runs and gasping at the seemingly never-ending speculation of whether or not we would ever see Derwin’s dopey smile, Tasha’s boss lady mentality, or Melanie finally use that education she sought after, again.

I prayed for it to be picked back up, and thank the TV heavens it did, because I need some answers and I need them asap. My top 5 questions below.

1. Umm Mel, how’d it feel to sleep in a hospital waiting room in your wedding dress, while your future husband was watching his ex-fling deliver his *alleged* baby? On the flip side though, your hospital chapel wedding was a tear-jerker for sure! and Derwin obviously adores you….

2. Uhhh Janay, who ya baby daddy?!?! Because I refuse to believe its Derwin’s! …..NEXT….

3. Tasha Mack, are you going to stop putting this poor man through hell? he loves you girl! Are you next down the aisle (hopefully you guys have no interruptions-see: Mel And Derwin).

4. Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, I by far felt the worst for you after Jason played you in that court room. Girl, he had you in there thinking you had your man back and then he walked out with Camille- SCANDALOUS!Are you going to take that lightly? Do you even still want him? Let me know, because I’ve got your back……..

5, Malik! What are you and Ms. Megan getting into? I sure hope its trouble…..

As an aunt of young girls, I know that they love to dress up and pretend to be adults. Its all innocent fun behind closed doors, but in public you can bet any amount of money they look like young girls; There is no makeup, no heels, no low- cut shirts and thigh-high skirts. So please understand my taken-abackness when I happened upon French Vogue’s “dress up” fashion editorial on Bossip.com.

The peice features young girls, who look no older than 6 or 7 years old, laced in couture clothing, sky-high stilletos, faces full of make-up and most distrubingly- placed in seductive poses.

Now, I know some people may think its cute, but these are children, not high-priced adult models. In a world where crime is very much alive & running rampant, we have a responsibility to try and protect our children at all costs and all I could think about when I seen this spread was how many sick pedophiles were viewing these photos as well.

What do you think? Did French Vogue go too far or is it innocent fun?

Creative Christmas Cocktails For Your Holiday Party

Christmas is only 10 days away! Can you believe it? I sure can’t; with a heap of gifts to still purchase, and the details of where Christmas will be hosted this year still unknown, I can honestly say I need a few more days :sigh:

But for you ahead of schedule folks, I have something for you to add to your holiday party! Some tasty & fun cocktails to get the festivities started.

Try picking one and offering it as your signature drink or offer a variety and keep your guest coming back for more!

Gingerbread Apple Cocktail
2 oz. Domaine de Canton
1 oz. vanilla vodka
2.5 oz. apple cider
A few drops of lemon juice
Orange zest
Agave syrup

Line a chilled martini glass lightly with agave syrup on a dish followed by spiced graham cracker crumbs. Place all ingredients except for orange zest in a shaker and shake vigorously. Strain into glass. Freshly grate orange zest on drink and serve immediately.

Bonbon of the Vanities
1.7 oz Russian Standard Vodka
.85 oz. banana liqueur
.85 oz. peach liqueur
2.7 oz. orange juice
.33 oz. Grenadine

Fill 1/3 shaker with ice before adding ingredients. Shake for 3-5 seconds, add 3 ice cubes to a highball glass, and strain the mixture over ice. Add Grenadine and garnish with an orange slice

The Ninth Night
2 oz. SKYY Infusions Citrus
1 oz. Triple Sec
1 oz. white cranberry juice
Lemon-lime soda
Lime juice

Combine SKYY Infusions Citrus, Triple Sec, and cranberry juice in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into tall rocks glass with fresh ice. Top with soda and lots of fresh lime juice.

Grown-Up Grape Soda
1 1/2 oz. Belvedere
1 oz. lemon juice
1 oz. simple syrup
3 oz. white cranberry juice
6 oz. Veuve Clicquot
20 red and white grapes, frozen

Add frozen grapes to the pitcher. Combine vodka, lemon juice, simple syrup, and white cranberry juice in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and pour into pitcher. Top with Veuve Clicquot and stir. Serve the pitcher with a fun stirrer and glasses garnished with 3-4 grapes

Mocha Nog Punch
10 parts Kahlúa Mocha
5 parts Absolut Vanilla
20 parts eggnog

Combine ingredients and serve in a punchbowl with a floating ice block.

Hint: Freeze ice with coffee beans for decoration
